About

Heather sometimes writes about herself in third-person because it is often required on websites and biographies to accompany her art or writing.  It always feels a bit goofy to write about herself this way, but she’s getting used to it after about ten years.

Heather is a resident of Southern Maryland.  She has a happy, odd-shaped little (big) family that she spends lots of time with and just can’t get enough of.  She also writes plays, stories and spent about a year as a journalist for a local online news website.

In the rest of her time, Heather is an artist.  Her favorite mediums are painting (watercolor & acrylic) and clay sculpting, oh and collage…um…and mixed media and plaster casting and…well, you get the idea.  The subject of her work ranges from fairy to naked fat girls.

Heather is socially very liberal but fiscally somewhat conservative.  Her daddy was a United States Marine and she moved all over the country.  If you grew up in the 1970s and 1980s your mom or dad was in the Marines we may have lived on the same base together (enlisted housing).

Heather has a few haters who think she’s a fat, big-mouthed, liberal-femmenazi.  But she’s not, she just doesn’t want to see women get pushed around and she wants them to love themselves.  Is that too much to ask?

Heather first started dabbling in internet newsgroups in the mid-1990s.  By the late 1990s she had a “Homepage” which was the precurser to the blog.  Eventually, when blogging software became available her hubby and computer-Jedi lovah, Robert, hooked her up with a blog.  That’s the beginning of her bloggy-story.

    Heather,
The woman I was talking about posts at http://fumblingtowardsmyself.com/. Her name is Ali, but she hasn’t posted since March. Before she stopped, most of her stuff, as you can see, was in line with your body image site. She also has a Myspace. You can find her in my friends under the name Ali. She’s gorgeous.
